Urojo (Tanzanian)
potatoes, chickpeas, peanuts fried onions, light curry sauce chutney .
This dish has become famous in the Island of Zanzibar off mainland Tanzania . It is a creamy curry soup blending Indian and African flavours . A mix of potatoes chickpeas,fried bhajias and peanuts are placed in a bowl a the bottom . This is then covered with a creamy curry sauce .Finally topped with coconut chutney and often sweet potato (cassava) chips.
