Mere Coapte is a Romanian bakeapple. Grind the nuts and mix with sugar, vanilla essence, a pinch of cinnamon and the sultanas. Fill the holes in the apples with this mixture. It’s simple to make and delicious can be served simple, with whipped cream or with ice cream.
