3 pounds pork butt, sliced thinly or cut into 1½-inch cubes ½ cup calamansi juice ¼ cup soy sauce 1 large onion, peeled and sliced into rings (reserve 5 to 6 rings for garnish) 1 head garlic, peeled and minced ¼ teaspoon pepper 3 tablespoons oil 1 cup water salt to taste
Stewed in soy sauce, calamansi juice, garlic and onions, this pork bistek is hearty, delicious and the perfect comfort food. Best served with steamed rice.
