Mesoamerican cuisine -in particular, Mexican cuisine-, is the traditional diet of the majority of the population, with its homemade traditional recipes, the use of local ingredients and, later, those imported from Spain, as well as certain cooking techniques and specific cookware. Mesoamerican cuisine automatically think of tacos or heat and spice. While that may somewhat true, those foods are only one aspect of Mesoamerican cuisine. In reality, there are many more foods and spices that make Mesoamerican food some of the freshest tasting and most diverse cuisine around the world.
