Beef Mechado is similar with other Filipino dishes like Kalderata, Afritada and Menudo for it is using tomato sauce too as a base ingredient. It only differs from the other because you have to use lime or lemon juice to make the beef tender. You need some patient when cooking beef mechado for it is surely a time consuming dish but definitely worth the wait for it is really yummy.
